Role and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Order Picker is responsible for selecting and preparing orders accurately and efficiently for shipment. You will ensure all orders are filled correctly, prepared for transportation, and comply with safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
• Pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using RF scanners or manual picking methods.
• Ensure the accuracy of items picked, verifying product codes, quantities, and specifications before packing.
• Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring all items are in good condition and ready for transportation.
• Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure products are stored in their designated locations, following FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse teams to meet daily production goals and customer expectations.
• Follow safety guidelines and practices to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve efficiency, safety, and overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience or order picking experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if applicable).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read and understand order tickets and product codes.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with RF scanners or similar warehouse technology.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
