Responsibilities
• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas within the warehouse.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to the packing station or shipping department.
• Package materials for shipment by shrink wrapping pallets, or boxing or bagging items based on the size and type of the order.
• Prepare bills of lading and other required shipping documentation for customer shipments.
• Mark materials with identifying information to ensure accurate tracking and inventory control.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers safely and efficiently to process incoming materials.
• Understand, or be willing to learn and effectively use, the warehouse computer system and RF scanner technology to pick, track, and verify orders.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading materials and handling products with appropriate equipment.
• Handle materials using pallet jacks and other basic warehouse tools to move and stage products.
• Support packing activities by properly packing and labeling orders for shipment.
• Work effectively as part of a team with management and all company personnel to meet production and shipping goals.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Provide prompt and accurate order fulfillment to support high levels of customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions.
• Ability or willingness to learn and effectively use warehouse computer systems and RF scanner technology.
• Capability to perform shipping and receiving tasks, including material handling and unloading.
• Experience or comfort using pallet jacks and basic warehouse equipment.
• Strong attention to detail in sorting, placing, and marking materials to maintain accurate inventory.
• Ability to assemble, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, including shrink wrapping, boxing, and bagging.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team with management and coworkers.
• Commitment to maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Reliability in providing prompt and accurate order fulfillment.
• Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable related to shipping documentation is helpful.

• Willingness to learn new warehouse systems and technologies, including RF scanners.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and tasks.

• Previous experience in picking, packing, shipping, receiving, or material handling is an advantage but not required.
