Job Overview Active Warehousing is seeking a motivated Warehouse Operator specializing in Lumber & Forklift with Clamp attachment operations to join our energetic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment, manage inventory, and ensure efficient shipping and receiving processes. Schedule: Monday to Friday (overtime, statutory holidays, and weekends may be required) 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Responsibilities Operate warehouse equipment, including propane forklifts with the clamp attachment. Safely load and unload lumber and construction materials using heavy equipment such as forklifts with clamp attachment. Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and efficiency Manage shipping and receiving activities, including verifying shipments and documenting discrepancies Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards at all times Exhibit strict attention to detail and maintain order accuracy Operators should be physically fit, able to stand for long periods and be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Report any errors, damages, or safety concerns to the Operations Supervisor immediately. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and heavy equipment operation Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and tools Certification or experience operating cranes, forklifts, clamp, and other heavy equipment Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift Construction or building materials experience is highly desirable Excellent skills in shipping & receiving procedures, load & unload processes, and order fulfillment Qualifications: 2+ years on a propane forklift with clamp attachment and a reach truck (required) 3+ years of warehouse experience, including order picking and stacking lumber product Previous shipping and receiving documentation and reporting High school diploma or equivalent A strong safety record and a good eye for detail Comfort standing for long periods and lifting repeatedly Previous3PL (third-party logistics) experience is considered an asset What's in it for You?
