Warehouse Operator - Forklift with Clamp

Job Summary Active Warehousing is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator specializing in propane forklifts with clamp attachment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse distribution tasks, utilizing forklifts with clamp attachment to move goods safely and accurately. Your mechanical knowledge and proficiency with warehouse management systems will ensure smooth order picking, heavy lifting, and overall warehouse productivity. Schedule: Monday to Friday (overtime, statutory holidays, and weekends may be required) 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Responsibilities: Operate propane forklift with clamp attachment to safely load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and rail car Use forklifts and order pickers to fulfill customer orders with precision and speed Offloading rail cars Exhibit strict attention to detail and maintain order accuracy Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols Report any errors, damages, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical safety and functionality Assist with order picking by accurately selecting items based on warehouse management system instructions Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring products are stored correctly for easy retrieval Complete documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, including logs and reports Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse distribution environments, with proven experience using propane forklifts with clamp attachment. Previous experience offloading rail car is considered an asset Experience using RF Scanners. Experience handling bulky and/or very large product with attention to detail and safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting Strong understanding of warehouse management systems for order processing and inventory control Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards at all times Experience using RF Scanners. Experience handling bulky and/or very large product with attention to detail and safety protocols. High school diploma or equivalent What's in it for You? Using computers, office equipment, RF Scan Guns, MHE equipment and working variable hours or overtime may be required. A strong safety record and a good eye for detail Comfort standing for long periods and lifting repeatedly Previous3PL (third-party logistics) experience is considered an asset Physical Requirements: This role requires physical effort that includes periods of prolonged sitting, walking, standing, carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting, balancing and use of ladders and MHE equipment.
