Overview The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, order preparation, material handling, and operation of warehouse equipment. The position will work closely with Production to monitor inventory levels, communicate material needs, and ensure finished products are prepared and available to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Manage daily shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading deliveries and shipments. Receive, inspect, and properly store ingredients, packaging materials, and other supplies. Maintain accurate inventory of ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products. Conduct monthly physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records. Monitor inventory levels and communicate material needs to ensure timely replenishment. Prepare finished-product orders for shipment, including palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and staging. Work closely with Production to support the fulfillment of customer orders. Operate forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, palletizer equipment, and other warehouse equipment as required. Move and organize materials and finished products within the warehouse. Load and unload trucks and prepare shipments for delivery. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment. Follow food safety, GMP, sanitation, and warehouse safety procedures. Maintain required receiving, inventory, and shipping documentation. Communicate inventory shortages, damaged materials, shipping issues, or other warehouse concerns. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED. Experience Previous hands-on experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and inventory management strongly preferred. Previous experience operating a forklift or powered pallet jack preferred. Experience in a food manufacturing or food warehouse environment is a plus. Willingness to complete required training and certification is required. Skills and Competencies Ability to safely operate forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, palletizer equipment, and other warehouse equipment after completing required training. Basic inventory management and recordkeeping skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving weights, quantities, measurements, and inventory records. Ability to accurately prepare and verify orders. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established procedures. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and work closely with Production and other departments. Ability to follow food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Ability to lift and move materials, ingredients, packaging, and other items as required, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
