Warehouse Operative

McFaddens is seeking a reliable, organized team member to support our warehouse and delivery operations. This varied, hands-on role includes order preparation, inventory support, shipping and receiving, and deliveries and pickups in the company cube truck. Training will be provided on our products and systems. The position offered is for 5 days per week, 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Duties and responsibilities will include: · Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized. · Receive incoming products, check them against paperwork, and put them away. · Pick and prepare customer orders accurately. · Enter customer orders and branch transfers into the company system. · Prepare and ship orders to other McFaddens branches. · Drive the company cube truck for customer deliveries and pickups. · Help monitor warehouse inventory by checking stock levels, identifying items that need replenishment, and coordinating inventory needs with the manager. · Assist with general warehouse duties and housekeeping. Requirements · A valid driver’s license that meets company and insurance requirements, with a safe driving record. · Strong organization and attention to detail. · A helpful, professional approach with customers and coworkers. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Comfort with regular physical work, including handling plywood, melamine, MDF, and other sheet goods weighing approximately 20–80 lb, as well as pails of finish weighing up to 75 lb. Safe lifting practices and assistance or equipment will be used where appropriate. · Experience in the wood, cabinet, millwork, or building-supply industry is an asset. · Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and GeoTab is an asset.
