Warehouse Operations Supervisor

We are looking for a warehouse supervisor to take ownership of our day-to-day operation and help build a more organized, accountable, and scalable business. This is an opportunity for an experienced operations leader who enjoys solving problems, developing people, improving processes, and taking responsibility for results. The Role The supervisor will be responsible for the performance of warehouse operations as a whole, with a core focus on inventory control, vendor relations, and facilities, while also overseeing day-to-day personnel management for fulfillment and general labor functions like cycle counts, quality control checks, etc. This position is the centerpiece of warehouse operations and directly impacts sales and customer service efforts. We need someone who can actively manage inventory in real time, including recognizing receiving problems or delays and coordinating expectations with the sales department, and ensure issues are carried through to resolution. The right person will be comfortable working directly with the team while also building the systems, expectations, and accountability needed to make the warehouse self-sufficient. We want a player-coach who understands the warehouse functions well enough to manage them effectively, but whose primary responsibility is to lead through delegation, establish accountability, and ensure the operation runs consistently. You should be capable of stepping into any given function when needed, but success in this role means building a team and systems that do not depend on you personally executing every warehouse task so you can focus on inventory control. You will have meaningful responsibility for how the operation runs, how people work together, and how problems are prevented and processes are improved. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations & Team Leadership — Lead daily priorities and morning huddles, coordinate with sales, allocate resources, and ensure commitments are followed through. Inventory & Receiving — Maintain inventory accuracy, oversee and receiving workflows, coordinate inbound freight and vendors, and resolve discrepancies. Process Improvement & Accountability — Develop and maintain SOPs, establish clear ownership and checkpoints, track operational performance, and prevent recurring problems. Facilities, Safety & General Management — Maintain warehouse organization and supplies, oversee equipment and facility needs, and ensure appropriate workplace safety practices and compliance. What We're Looking For Demonstrated experience managing day-to-day operations for a warehouse, distribution business, manufacturing operation, or similarly complex environment. Experience leading employees, setting expectations, delegating work, and holding people accountable. Strong understanding of inventory control, receiving, order fulfillment, purchasing, and vendor coordination. A track record of improving processes, solving recurring problems, and producing measurable operational improvements. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities without losing track of unresolved issues. Sound judgment and the confidence to make routine operational decisions independently. Clear, direct communication and the ability to coordinate effectively across teams. Comfort using inventory/WMS systems, ERP platforms, spreadsheets, and other business software. A practical, hands-on management style that combines time on the floor with planning, analysis, and process development.
