The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000, which will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. 

The Warehouse Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the warehousing activities at INNIO’s engine manufacturing facility in Welland.  This role includes leading a team of warehouse technicians and support staff to develop and execute process using Oracle ERP, to meet business goals and achieve overall productivity and efficiency targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct leadership of Warehouse and Logistics leads, technicians, and support staff
  • Exhibit a strong customer service and team approach to resolving material, process, and customer issues.
  • Implement and manage warehouse inventory controls including cycle counts and annual physical inventories
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, identify, and eliminate inhibitors to material flow, cycle times, and cost to optimize process efficiency
  • Develop & maintain KPI’s to measure & improve operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure procedures, instructions & department analytics are maintained and enhanced as needed and all work is compliant with safe work practices, and industry regulations
  • Lead projects and foster a continuous improvement culture with the team and organization
  • Optimize operational processes and lead change management projects including IT related improvements
  • Utilize Change Management practices to build engagement within and across functions to drive projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Recruit and develop team of technicians and support roles including providing coaching, training, and discipline. Conduct performance reviews for direct reports in conjunction with Human Resources
  • Develop and maintain warehouse budget and capital expenditure proposals; manage budget from identification to completion of projects
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in warehousing, logistics, or materials management
  • Post-secondary education in engineering or supply chain management, certification in APICS, or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading a large, multi-shift warehouse environments
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems, manufacturing, quality control processes and procedures
  • Expert in Microsoft Office tools
  • Expert in ERP and WMS (Oracle or SAP preferred)
  • Six Sigma and LEAN continuous improvement certification is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaborative leader with high customer and result orientation
  • Able to bring teams together to meet common goals & objectives
  • Adaptive, agile, growth minded thinker with above average communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and approach
  • Strong analytical skills – a solid problem solver
