Warehouse Operations Coordinator / Onsite Lead

Astrolion Solar distributes solar panels from our warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga. We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Coordinator / Onsite Lead to run the warehouse day to day: plan receiving and pickups, keep inventory records accurate, handle drivers and carriers, and keep the site working safely with our forklift operator. You report to our Warehouse Supervisor. What you'll do Coordination and records Review receiving schedules, outbound orders and appointments, and set daily priorities Handle appointment emails and drivers' calls: confirmations, changes, arrival times and check-in instructions Verify shipment authorization, bill of lading details, products and quantities before cargo is released Record and check receipts and shipments in our web-based warehouse system, with photos and signed pickup documents Coordinate inventory counts, investigate differences, and document correction requests for approval Track damage reports, open pickups and missing documents through to resolution; prepare weekly and monthly summaries Onsite lead Assign and sequence the forklift operator's daily tasks Direct visiting drivers on check-in, waiting areas and walkways Walk the aisles and dock each morning, follow up on equipment inspections, and stop unsafe work Report hazards and injuries, coordinate emergency response, and escalate staffing or equipment problems Backup forklift operator After paid training, a hands-on evaluation on our forklift and written authorization from us, operate the forklift when our forklift operator is on a break, absent or needs a second operator No forklift experience is required; we arrange the training What you need At least 18 years old At least 1 year in warehouse shipping and receiving, inventory control or logistics coordination, including scheduling pickup and delivery appointments, checking shipments against bills of lading or purchase orders, or coordinating with carriers and drivers Hands-on experience with a warehouse management or inventory system: entering receipts and shipments, cycle counts and investigating discrepancies Clear written and spoken English for emails and phone calls with drivers, carriers and customers Comfortable with email and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) Accurate and organized with numbers, dates, reference numbers and follow-up Willing to complete forklift training and evaluation, and to spend regular time on the warehouse floor and dock; occasionally lift and move heavy items, with or without reasonable accommodation Nice to have 2 or more years of the experience above Experience leading or assigning work to warehouse staff Experience handling overage, shortage and damage (OS&D) reports and carrier claims Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese (several team members and suppliers communicate in Chinese) Forklift experience Schedule Monday to Friday, full-time; occasional Saturdays, scheduled in advance.
