Warehouse OHS Coordinator

Location: Pickering, ON Employment Type: Full-time, On-site Position Overview We are seeking a new graduate with an Occupational Health & Safety diploma to join our Pickering warehouse team. This role owns site OHS compliance, conducts regular safety inspections, maintains safety documentation, supports incident follow-up and staff safety orientation under Ontario OHS Act and WHMIS requirements. Mandarin is required to communicate with our warehouse frontline team. Key Responsibilities Perform routine warehouse safety inspections: pallet racking, loading dock, forklifts & material handling equipment, fire exits, PPE, hazard identification, track corrective actions. Maintain safety records: WHMIS documents, training logs, inspection reports, incident and near-miss forms. Assist incident / near-miss investigation, prepare reports and follow up on remediation plans. Support JHSC / safety representative meeting documentation and action item tracking. Deliver new hire safety orientation and help update warehouse safety SOPs and signage. Communicate safety rules and requirements to warehouse staff in Mandarin; prepare official reports and correspondence in English. Other safety-related administrative work assigned by warehouse manager. Qualifications College Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS / EHS), new graduate welcome, prior work experience not mandatory . Solid understanding of Ontario OHS Act and WHMIS fundamentals learned from school. Mandarin required , fluent English for written reports and official records. First Aid / CPR certification is an asset. Able to walk extensively around warehouse for site inspections, detail-focused. Proficient in MS Excel for record keeping. Eligible to work legally in Canada.
