Warehouse / Office Cleaner

Compensation Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse / Office Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment across our facility. This role is vital in ensuring that both the warehouse and office spaces meet high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and committed to creating a welcoming and hygienic environment for staff and visitors alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of warehouse floors, office areas, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various cleaning agents safely, following chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety. Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and furniture to uphold a professional appearance throughout the facility. Use custodial tools and equipment efficiently for tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and buffing floors. Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify areas needing attention or repair, supporting facilities maintenance efforts. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure safe lifting practices are adhered to at all times. Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting as needed to support overall facility upkeep. - Ability to print legibly. - Ability to be observant and quick to respond to various situations. - Ability to move quickly through work and set the pace in the office. - Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods. - Ability to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb, and carry as necessary. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Job Type: Full-time Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards. Experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocols diligently. Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Prior experience with facilities maintenance or residential painting can be an added benefit for supporting diverse cleaning needs.
