Warehouse Manager / Supervisor – Electrical Contractor Eco Electric San Diego | San Diego, CA 92111 Full-Time | In Person Job Overview Eco Electric San Diego is seeking an experienced, organized, and computer-savvy Warehouse Manager / Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory, shipping and receiving, tools, equipment, and material coordination for our electrical projects. This is a hands-on role requiring previous warehouse management or supervisory experience, knowledge of electrical materials, and experience using computerized inventory and barcode scanning systems. You will lead daily warehouse activities, maintain accurate inventory, coordinate with project managers and electricians, and ensure materials are ready when our crews need them. We need someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and continually improves warehouse organization and procedures. Responsibilities Warehouse Operations & Team Leadership Lead daily warehouse operations, assign tasks, and monitor work for accuracy and timely completion. Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable for warehouse procedures, material handling, and tool checkout. Coordinate priorities with project managers, office staff, suppliers, and field crews. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and secure warehouse. Identify practical process improvements that reduce wasted time, material shortages, and unnecessary purchases. Inventory Management & Barcode Systems Manage inventory for electrical materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. Use warehouse management software, inventory systems, barcode scanners, and RF scanners to receive, label, locate, issue, return, and track items. Establish clearly labeled bins, shelving, and storage locations. Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment before materials run out. Track materials by project and maintain accurate records of stock movements. Identify excess inventory, missing materials, and opportunities to reduce waste. Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips for correct quantities, part numbers, and condition. Document shortages, damage, and incorrect shipments; coordinate corrections with suppliers. Separate, label, and protect materials assigned to specific projects. Coordinate supplier pickups, job-site deliveries, outgoing shipments, and material returns. Track supplier returns and follow up on outstanding credits. Job Preparation & Field Support Work with project managers and electricians to prepare materials for upcoming work. Pull, package, label, and stage complete material orders accurately and on time. Track materials issued to each project and unused materials returned to stock. Communicate shortages, missing items, and delivery delays before scheduled installations. Help keep crews supplied and reduce unnecessary trips to supply houses. Tool & Equipment Control Maintain a checkout and return system identifying who has each tool and its assigned project. Inspect returned tools and equipment for damage or missing components. Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and replacement needs. Track ladders, specialty tools, testing equipment, and other company assets. Safety & Material Handling Follow and enforce applicable OSHA requirements and company safety procedures. Operate or oversee forklifts and other material handling equipment, as trained and authorized. Ensure materials are stored, stacked, moved, and secured safely. Identify and address warehouse hazards promptly. Required Qualifications Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Warehouse Lead. Working knowledge of electrical materials, including conduit, fittings, wire, breakers, panels, devices, and lighting components.
