Key Responsibilities Warehouse Setup and Project Management Lead the warehouse start-up project from initial setup through stable daily operations. Develop the warehouse layout, storage-location strategy, material flow, staging areas, shipping and receiving processes, and safety standards. Implement and maintain an inventory-management system. Establish item master data, inventory locations, labeling standards, receiving procedures, transfer processes, cycle-count programs, and inventory-reporting requirements. Create standard operating procedures for receiving, storage, inventory control, plant transfers, order fulfillment, shipping, company-driver deliveries, returns, and damaged goods. Team Leadership and Transportation Supervise, train, schedule, and support two Warehouse Workers; establish daily priorities and maintain a safe, accountable team environment. Coordinate, schedule, and supervise the Company Truck Driver’s daily work, including raw-material transfers to the production plant, finished-goods transfers to the warehouse, and occasional customer deliveries. Plan efficient delivery and transfer routes, loading schedules, delivery windows, and vehicle utilization in coordination with production, customer service, and customers. Confirm that the Company Truck Driver has accurate delivery paperwork, load information, equipment, and customer instructions before departure. Monitor completion of transfers and deliveries; address delays, missed appointments, damaged goods, delivery exceptions, and proof-of-delivery documentation. Daily Warehouse Operations Manage receiving, storage, picking, staging, loading, shipping, and housekeeping activities. Coordinate raw-material transfers from the warehouse to the production plant and finished-goods transfers from the plant to the warehouse using the Company Truck Driver and, when needed, third-party carriers. Maintain accurate inventory through timely system transactions, location control, cycle counts, reconciliation, and investigation of discrepancies. Process customer orders for shipment, including order review, picking, packing, labeling, staging, loading, carrier handoff, and shipment confirmation. Prepare, verify, and retain all shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, transfer records, shipment confirmations, proof of delivery, carrier documents, and customer-specific paperwork. Coordinate inbound and outbound trucking appointments; communicate requirements, schedules, delays, and exceptions with carriers, production, customer service, drivers, and customers. Maintain product condition, cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; logistics, supply-chain, inventory-management, transportation, or project-management training is preferred. Three or more years of warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, inventory-control, or logistics experience; startup, warehouse-launch, or process-implementation experience is strongly preferred. Experience supervising warehouse personnel, drivers, or frontline operations. Experience coordinating company vehicles, delivery routes, freight carriers, or transportation schedules.
