Warehouse Manager

Job Overview The Primary Duties of the warehouse manager at Keyesbury is to ensure that all incoming goods are handled, serialized, organized and warehoused with maximum efficiency and accuracy. They are also responsible for building and property maintenance at 99 Bruce Cres. as well as any other specific projects assigned by management. The warehouse manager is responsible for tracking and assessing trends regarding product movement, stock/inventory levels, and in conjunction with the Logistics manager, delivery team evaluations and incentives. It is the responsibility of the warehouse manager to ensure that the warehouse is clean, organized and safe at all times. The duties of the warehouse manager break down as follows: Routing/Load Management Routing of delivery trucks/stops in keeping with maximum efficiency, fuel economy and profitability Ensure that all stops and instructions are properly entered and set up in the routing software (Spoke/Elite Extra) for the next day Ensure that the capacity of loads are balanced between maximum capacity and load management Ensure that priority or re-deliveries are given appropriate weight when planning routes Coordination between delivery team, installation team or third party installation (gas technicians) is smooth and efficient Create or utilize an existing Master Delivery Tracking report and ensure that it is filled in each day Create an SOD (start of day) and EOD email to be sent out to sales, order desk, accounting and management each day based on the template provided Inbound/Receiving Ensure that all email/phone delivery appointments from carriers/suppliers for are answered and booked immediately Once a delivery is confirmed, a copy of the manifest is to be pinned on the receiving board under the appropriate day Pre-plan physical warehouse locations for incoming goods before they arrive Keep up to date with container deliveries and plan warehouse space accordingly Ensure that stock is rotated when new goods arrive (older stock up front) Follow Triage procedure for any failed deliveries, removals, RMAs etc. Ensure that triaged units that have been re-entered into P21 (confirmed by the Order Desk Manager) are appropriately repackaged and put back into the physical inventory location for re-sale Warehouse Create/maintain the Keyesbury warehouse map Create/maintain bins within the warehouse in preparation for wireless warehouse Identify trends in fast moving stock and reorganize map/bins accordingly Identify stock shortfalls and notify the purchasing team immediately of any SKUs that need replenishment Identify trends in outbound volume of SKUs and report any abnormalities to the sales/purchasing team Ensure that the warehouse is clean, clear and organized at all times Ensure that the warehouse is up to Ontario Safety standards at all times Ensure that warehouse/container space is used to maximum efficiency Identify, plan and execute solutions/projects that will help create more efficiency/space within the warehouse Create, record, maintain, and enforce new and current warehouse procedures Provide bi-weekly progress reports/updates to management regarding specific projects such as bin creation, wireless warehouse prep, inventory levels etc. Building Maintenance Ensure that the building and grounds around the building are maintained and in working order at all times. This includes but is not limited to: Snow Removal Garbage pickup Appliance recycling Lawns and gardens maintenance General maintenance and repairs Equipment and Procurement Using the Keyesbury Requisition form, submit all requests for equipment to management in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to: Tools/kits Straps Dollies Cell phones Uniforms Scanners Foot/boot coverings Runners PPE (hard hats/vests) Laundry install accessories (hoses, venting, clamps etc.) The warehouse manager is responsible for keeping an inventory and tracking the condition of all warehouse tools and equipment.
