Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager oversees warehouse operations, safety, employee performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of Bunzl Daily Best Practices and procedures.
  • Lead daily cycle counts, activity walks, and empty-bin walks.
  • Drive KPI improvements and hold the team accountable for results.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of warehouse staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
  • Partner with HR on employee relations and performance management matters.
  • Optimize delivery efficiency and driver productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Oversee workplace safety training and assist with workers’ compensation processes.
  • Audit documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations including driver logs, fuel tax reports, and accident documentation.
  • Provide coaching and performance management.
  • Administer ERP reporting for performance and accuracy metrics.
  • Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of related experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of OHSA and transportation regulations.
  • ELD experience required.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25kg to 55+ lbs. on a regular basis and work at heights of up to 26 feet.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with a hands‑on approach.
  • Ability to work safely in accordance with company safety policies and applicable occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Experience with order pickers, counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and pump trucks.
