Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees warehouse operations, safety, employee performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent execution of Bunzl Daily Best Practices and procedures.
- Lead daily cycle counts, activity walks, and empty-bin walks.
- Drive KPI improvements and hold the team accountable for results.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of warehouse staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
- Partner with HR on employee relations and performance management matters.
- Optimize delivery efficiency and driver productivity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Oversee workplace safety training and assist with workers’ compensation processes.
- Audit documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations including driver logs, fuel tax reports, and accident documentation.
- Provide coaching and performance management.
- Administer ERP reporting for performance and accuracy metrics.
- Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of related experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of OHSA and transportation regulations.
- ELD experience required.
- Ability to safely lift up to 25kg to 55+ lbs. on a regular basis and work at heights of up to 26 feet.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with a hands‑on approach.
- Ability to work safely in accordance with company safety policies and applicable occupational health and safety legislation.
- Experience with order pickers, counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and pump trucks.
