Warehouse Manager

Overview United Pipe & Supply Co. is seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Bloomington, IL location. In this role, you'll oversee inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, staffing, and warehouse safety while ensuring our team delivers efficient, reliable service to our customers. The ideal candidate has hands-on warehouse experience combined with proven leadership ability and a strong grasp of inventory control and warehouse management systems. Plumbing knowledge is not required; however, it is a major plus. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping. Lead, train, and schedule warehouse staff, providing performance feedback and coaching as needed. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, monitor order fulfillment, and identify discrepancies. Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, including proper forklift and pallet jack operation. Manage warehouse layout and organization to maximize efficiency and space utilization. Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and branch management to align inventory levels with customer demand. Assist in the fabrication of products as needed, following established safety procedures. Handle escalated issues related to shipping errors, damaged goods, or vendor discrepancies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse management, distribution center operations, or similar logistics roles with a strong background in warehouse supervision. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication and team leadership skills. Proficiency with inventory management systems (IMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft 365. Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and other heavy lifting machinery. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, materials handling best practices, shipping & receiving procedures, and lean management techniques. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process documentation. Why Join Us?
