SUMMARY The Warehouse Manager will overlook all warehouse operations by supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in incoming and outgoing shipments to customers and vendors, by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Liaison between sales, manufacturing and inventory control managers to ensure that all customer requirements are met and that warehouse operations are maintained to the highest standards. -Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications. Inspects material handling equipment for defects and contacts outside service facility for repair. Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas. Overseas GMI Safety protocols in the warehouse to ensure all company policies are followed Schedules all pick ups and deliveries using our truck Compiles records of unfilled orders. Posts weight and shipping charges. Prepares bills of lading. Issues written and oral instructions. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances. Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Adjusts errors and complaints. Local extension of QC Dept. Responsible for inspection of incoming product from outside vendors. Inventory control of local branch storage levels and assignment of storage location in warehouse. Responsible for maintaining & purchase of warehouse & shipping supplies such as boxes, fiber tubes, crating material, pallets, bindings, etc. Performs other such duties as may be required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises multiple employees in the shipping/receiving department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
