Job Description:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all day‑to‑day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This role leads warehouse staff, maintains inventory accuracy, ensures workplace safety, and drives continuous improvement to meet production and customer delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Maintain organized and efficient warehouse layouts, ensuring optimal use of space.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse functions.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes to meet deadlines.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and audits.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Work with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure product availability.

Leadership & Staff Development

  • Supervise warehouse associates, leads, and forklift operators.
  • Train new employees on equipment, safety, and warehouse processes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
  • Promote a positive, high‑performance team culture.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard‑free warehouse environment.
  • Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, etc.).

Logistics & Coordination

  • Collaborate with shipping carriers and internal logistics teams to coordinate shipments.
  • Verify outbound orders meet quality expectations and customer requirements.
  • Communicate delays, shortages, or issues to management teams promptly.

Reporting & KPIs

  • Track and report on key metrics such as inventory accuracy, order accuracy, on‑time shipment, and labor productivity.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
