Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager, under the direction of the Director, Warehouse & Logistics (DWL) oversees warehouse performance, including but not limited to, shipping activities, receiving and general warehousing as well as supporting the local production operations through material handling activities and inventory management.

Job Duties

Leadership

  • Implement the corporate vision, purpose, and values to the objectives of the facility to deliver Company Strategic Priorities.
  • Implement objectives and plan for improving and problem-solving facility specific challenges that will deliver KPI improvements. Provides foresight into potential challenges and plans mitigation.
  • Understand, promote, follow, and ensure team compliance for all company and regulatory standards including, but not limited to, Provincial Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS), Food Safety (GMP/SQF), Safe Operating Procedures (SOP's), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
  • Foster, support and encourage success for all employees in a collaborative, empathetic  leadership style.

Functional Work Area

  • Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made and that corrective action is taken, including performance management, etc.
  • Manages inventory within scope, performs/delivers cycle and wall to wall counts.

Financial

  • Accountable for department P&L – with oversight and direction from DWL.
  • Owns & develops KPI’s such as OTD, OTIF, Accuracy and others.

People

  • Hires, mentors, coaches, and trains staff under their supervision, completing review/performance evaluations and succession planning as needed.
  • Identifies incidents and hazards and reports them appropriately. Ensures end to end management of investigations.
  • Fosters a culture of respect, openness, teamwork, growth, and learning.
  • Works closely with cross-functional departments to achieve goals as one cohesive team.

Quality 

  • Delivers quality in all aspects of work.
  • Maintains an audit ready work area.

Equipment

  • Manages material handling equipment and machinery such as lift trucks and pallet wrappers.
