Role Description The Warehouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day warehouse operations. The role combines team leadership, shipment coordination, inventory management, and computer-based administration to keep the warehouse running safely, accurately, and efficiently. As a growing business with a busy warehouse, we are looking for someone who leads by example and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves when needed. While the primary focus is managing the warehouse and supporting the team, hands-on assistance may be required during busy periods, including operating reach trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment, and helping with receiving, picking, loading, and unloading. Responsibilities include coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, scheduling container deliveries and unloading, and ensuring staff, equipment, and storage space are ready. The Warehouse Manager also completes and oversees the computer work that supports these activities, including inventory records, shipping and receiving documentation, order processing, and reporting. The role involves organizing daily workflows, maintaining safety and housekeeping standards, resolving inventory discrepancies, and improving storage and material flow. The Warehouse Manager works closely with production, procurement, customer service, and logistics partners to meet delivery commitments and support continued growth. Just as important is building a good rapport with the team. Qualifications Previous supervisory or leadership experience in warehousing or logistics, with the ability to oversee daily operations and support a busy team. An approachable leadership style, with the ability to build strong team relationships and create a fun, hardworking environment. A willingness to lead by example and provide hands-on assistance when required. Strong stock control and inventory management skills, including accurate recordkeeping, replenishment, and cycle counts. Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, container deliveries, and safe, efficient loading and unloading. Experience safely operating reach trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment, with appropriate training and certification. Confidence using computers for daily warehouse administration, including warehouse management systems (WMS), email, spreadsheets, shipping documentation, and reporting. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set priorities, manage changing demands, and collaborate across departments. Experience in building products or manufacturing environments and familiarity with applicable workplace safety requirements are assets. A diploma or degree in supply chain, business, or a related field is an asset.
