Absolute Hardwood Flooring, Inc.Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure the efficient management of inventory, logistics, and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in warehouse management systems, and a comprehensive understanding of materials handling and safety protocols. This role is vital in maintaining streamlined warehouse processes, optimizing inventory control, and supporting the overall supply chain performance. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team of warehouse staff, coordinate shipping and receiving functions, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and safety standards. Duties Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Loading and unloading of trucks. Lead and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational goals while fostering a safe and collaborative work environment. Oversee inventory control procedures using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to ensure accuracy. Coordinate logistics activities with transportation providers to optimize distribution center operations. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners safely and efficiently. Implement lean management principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall workflow. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards across all warehouse activities. Manage shipping and receiving schedules, ensuring timely dispatches and deliveries. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records. Develop training programs for staff on warehouse operations, safety procedures, and equipment use. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes. Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations management or as a warehouse supervisor within distribution centers or similar environments. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, logistics, inventory control systems, and materials handling techniques. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through team leadership skills and managerial communication. Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to warehousing and material handling. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and process execution. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting as required by warehouse duties. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement initiatives such as lean management practices. Effective communication skills necessary for team leadership, training, and cross-department collaboration.
