We are seeking a talented and experienced Warehouse Manager to join the warehouse team. This vital role will manage a team of 30+ seasoned warehouse professionals supporting two of our iconic brands, Junior Library Guild and AKJ Education. 

The Warehouse Manager will report to the Senior Warehouse Manager and is responsible for overseeing warehouse activities including shipping, receiving and inventory control.  People management responsibilities include hiring of new employees, coaching and mentoring personnel, conducting performance evaluations, and adjusting staffing for seasonal changes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Improves operational efficiency and performancethroughprocess improvement, effective shift planning and performance management
  • Drives inventory accuracy improvement by helping implement Inventory Control processes and developing cycle count strategies
  • Manageswarehouse team, including training, development, coaching, discipline and performance reviews. 
  • Ensureswarehouse operational production requirements are met by reviewing staffing plans, scheduling employees and tracking performance
  • Builds a culture that centers safety, integrity and respect for the individual

Qualifications:  

  • 2+ years of warehouse management experience, with a track record of success in a leadership role.  
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, distribution, and inventory management.
  • Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with Korber WMS is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
