Distribution CompanyDistribution Supply Company Seeking Warehouse Manager- Job Summary As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the overall functionality, safety, and productivity of our warehouse operations. This is a highly collaborative role that requires bridging gaps and coordinating responsibilities between receiving, inventory control, shipping, logistics, and internal sales/operations departments. The ideal candidate has deep experience in warehousing logistics and is an exceptional leader capable of building cohesive teams. Responsibilities Cross-Department Coordination: Work directly with procurement, sales, and logistics departments to align warehouse output with broader company goals. Daily Operations: Oversee all warehouse personnel handling shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory control. Process Optimization: Evaluate and refine layout workflows, storage utilization, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maximize throughput. Inventory Integrity: Lead routine cycle counts, year-end audits, and reconcile physical inventory with our warehouse management tracking systems. Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, equipment protocols (forklifts, pallet jacks), and local regulatory compliance. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule warehouse staff. Set clear performance metrics and foster a culture of accountability and safety. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in a warehouse management or senior logistics supervisory role. (Experience in industrial or electrical distribution environments is a strong plus). Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing multi-department functions and leading teams of 10+ employees. Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and Microsoft Office (Excel). Logistics Acumen: Deep understanding of shipping/receiving procedures, inventory planning, freight scheduling, and supply chain logistics. Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate across organizational tiers. Physical Capability: Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
