Warehouse/Lumber Sales Associate

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lumber Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment, assisting customers and contractors with their lumber and building material needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and a commitment to delivering a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating lumber and building materials. Provide expert advice on product selection based on customer needs. Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing. Answer customer inquiries via phone, e-mail or in-person with professionalism and clarity. Utilize basic math skills to assist customers with measurements and calculations. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. Stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends to provide knowledgeable assistance. Requirements Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; bilingual abilities are a plus. Previous experience in retail sales and building supply experience is preferred. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. Familiarity with lumber products and building materials is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
