About the Role OBJECTIVE The Facilities and Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of company facilities, shipping and receiving activities, warehouse/material handling operations, and inventory control. This position provides day-to-day leadership and direction to assigned personnel and coordinates activities with Operations, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and other departments to support organizational and customer requirements. The Facilities and Logistics Supervisor ensures that building and facility systems are properly maintained, inbound and outbound materials are handled accurately and on time, inventory records remain accurate, and departmental processes are performed safely and efficiently. This position also identifies and implements opportunities for continuous improvement, cost control, and improved operational performance. What You Need to Be Successful ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Facilities & Building Maintenance Oversees maintenance, repair, and upkeep of company buildings, grounds, utilities, and facility-related equipment. Develops and monitors preventive maintenance; prioritizes needs and coordinates repairs with internal staff or contractors to minimize downtime. Manages facility vendors and service providers, including quotes, scheduling, performance, and work completion. Maintains records for inspections, maintenance, repairs, service agreements, and regulatory requirements. Coordinates facility improvements, repairs, installations, and assigned capital or maintenance projects. Supports compliance with safety, environmental, fire protection, building, and company requirements. Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Supervises daily shipping and receiving to ensure safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials and products. Verifies incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents; ensures outgoing shipments are properly packaged, labeled, documented, and scheduled. Coordinates carriers, pickups, deliveries, dock activities, and shipment priorities. Resolves shipping/receiving discrepancies, damage, quantity errors, and documentation issues. Partners with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality, and others to prioritize urgent shipments and resolve material-flow issues.
