Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the safe operation of forklifts for transporting materials around the warehouse.
• Move shipments onto and off trucks and containers.
• Relocate items to designated storage zones and preparation points.
• Arrange and stack materials in a manner that protects them from potential damage.
• Provide assistance with inventory control procedures, including cycle counts as required.
• Consistently examine forklifts for mechanical issues as part of the daily routine and make reports as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.
• Keep the warehouse surroundings clean and properly arranged.
Qualifications:
• Established background in forklift operation within warehouse or logistics operations.
• Current certification as a forklift operator required, or readiness to pursue certification.
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and protocols for efficient operations and ensuring safety measures are followed.
• Capability to handle weighty loads and perform in a challenging physical atmosphere.
• Outstanding meticulousness and knack for organization.
• Skill in balancing independent tasks with cooperative efforts in a team context.
• Having a high school diploma or an equivalent certification is advantageous.
