Warehouse Logistics & Materials Operations Specialist
ConfidentialAbout the Role Picture your day starting on the dock: you greet an inbound LTL carrier, carefully open crates, and verify counts against work orders. You log variances, reject damaged items, and move accepted goods into designated bays using an electric forklift, pallet jack, or a two‑wheeler. A production scheduler pings you for on‑hand counts; you pull raw materials for tomorrow’s builds and update the ERP so the floor has what it needs, when it needs it. In the afternoon, you turn to outbound—packing per spec, printing labels through UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or UPS Ozlink, and double‑checking that every shipment meets quality and documentation standards before it leaves. Prepare outbound orders: pack, label, and ship to specification via parcel and LTL. Examine outbound loads to ensure accuracy, quality, and conformance to requirements. Process returns of damaged or defective goods when required. Track inventory of raw materials and work‑in‑process; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Enter and maintain data in the ERP system; provide inventory status to the production scheduler. Stage and pull materials for next‑day work orders.
