Role and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Loader/Unloader plays an essential role in safely and effectively unloading goods from trucks and containers. This position is crucial for ensuring that products are organized and ready for further processing, supporting our overall operational efficiency and safety standards.
• Unload incoming shipments safely using manual or mechanical methods.
• Inspect products for damage and discrepancies, ensuring they meet quality standards upon arrival.
• Organize and store products in accordance with procedures to maintain accurate inventory.
• Label and tag products to facilitate smooth sorting and processing.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure inventory levels are accurate and report discrepancies when found.
• Keep the unloading area tidy and organized to ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading goods as needed.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
• Work together with the team to meet daily productivity and quality targets.
Required Skills and Experience:
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving role.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with forklift operation or other material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or barcode scanning technologies.
• OSHA safety certification or related training is a plus.
