Role Summary Join our warehouse team in Pineville and help lead the day-to-day operation of an exciting, fast-growing company. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will receive, move, store, pick, stage, and dispatch products while coordinating and supporting team members performing the same work. You will set clear priorities, reinforce safe and accurate work practices, monitor progress, and help the team meet customer service and dispatch commitments. Dependable attendance, attention to detail, calm leadership, and a willingness to work alongside the team are essential. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day warehouse operation and work alongside the team to complete receiving, loading, unloading, picking, staging, stock put-away, dispatch, inventory, and housekeeping duties. Allocate daily work, communicate priorities and deadlines, monitor progress, and adjust resources to support operational requirements. Provide clear instructions, practical coaching, and on-the-job support to warehouse team members, including new employees. Set the standard for safe, accurate, productive, and professional work, and address unsafe practices or performance concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient warehouse in accordance with company standards. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and responsibly, and ensure team members follow equipment and safety procedures. Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, verify order accuracy and product quality, and ensure discrepancies or damage are recorded, reported, and followed through. Accurately pick and prepare customer orders using RF scanners and the inventory system while helping the team meet dispatch deadlines and customer service standards. Use and oversee the use of stretch-wrapping and labelling equipment to prepare products for storage, customer pickup, or delivery. Coordinate the assembly of kit items when required. Complete or assign final checks of outgoing orders and ensure products are properly secured and ready for transport. Coordinate local deliveries on company-owned trucks and arrange non-local freight through third-party carriers. Assist with deliveries when assigned, including unloading and staging products at customer locations or job sites. Plan and conduct inventory counts, investigate variances, and help maintain accurate inventory records. Monitor workflow, staffing, equipment, stock, and space constraints; resolve routine issues and escalate material risks or delays to management. Communicate effectively with management, customer service, transport providers, and other internal teams regarding priorities, issues, and order status. Respond to internal customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Treat customers and coworkers with professionalism, respect, fairness, and a service-focused attitude. Support the warehouse team and management with additional duties as operational needs require. Required Qualifications Previous warehouse or distribution center experience, including experience coordinating work or providing day-to-day direction to others. Demonstrated ability to lead by example, communicate expectations clearly, coach team members, and follow up on assigned work. Current forklift certification and demonstrated ability to operate counterbalance and high-reach forklifts safely. Experience using warehouse technology, including RF scanners and inventory management systems. Reliable attendance, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a consistent commitment to safety. Ability to understand and give instructions, build cooperation within a team, and work independently when required. Ability to prioritize and coordinate competing tasks, respond to changing operational needs, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
