Warehouse Lead Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Warehouse Lead Associate to perform daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution and inventory control. This role is vital in maintaining smooth logistics workflows, optimizing warehouse processes, and supporting a safe and organized environment. This position requires the ability to work independently to coordinate shipping and receiving activities. This position will require excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel with at least 2 years experience. This position will also require daily heavy lifting and hand unloading trucks at times. Duties Oversee daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Ensure best practices are followed for warehouse management system (WMS) operations and safety protocols. Oversee inventory control processes to ensure the accuracy of stock levels and reduce discrepancies. Coordinate logistics efforts related to warehouse distribution, including scheduling shipments and optimizing storage layouts for maximum space utilization. Utilize mechanical knowledge and forklift certification to assist with heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation safely and effectively. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations during all warehouse activities, fostering a culture of safety awareness among team members. Qualifications Proven experience in shipping & receiving within a fast-paced distribution environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar WMS platforms. Hands-on experience with logistics operations including shipping & receiving, 3PL (third-party logistics), and e-commerce fulfillment. Mechanical aptitude with forklift certification; ability to operate heavy machinery safely. Excellent team management skills. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and materials handling best practices. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards.
