Warehouse Lead

Albert Lea Seed House is looking for a Lead Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations while helping lead, train, and motivate a hardworking team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys physical work, teamwork, and contributing to a mission-driven agricultural company. What You’ll Do Support the Warehouse Manager in hiring, training, and mentoring warehouse staff Lead daily warehouse activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety Load and unload seed for freight carriers and customer pickups Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (forklift certification required or willingness to obtain) Perform seed mixing, bagging, palletizing, and inventory transfers Ensure accurate shipping, receiving, and documentation Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Follow company policies and all state and federal regulations related to seed handling Communicate clearly with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and freight carriers What We’re Looking For Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to plan, prioritize, and stay organized with minimal supervision Forklift experience or willingness to become certified Agricultural background preferred, especially knowledge of regenerative or sustainable practices Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly (50+ lbs with assistance) Comfortable with repetitive lifting, bending, standing, and walking Able to work in warehouse conditions including heat, cold, dust, and dirt Why Albert Lea Seed House Mission-driven company focused on quality seed and sustainable agriculture Team-oriented environment with opportunities to lead and grow Stable, hands-on role with meaningful impact Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Application Question(s): Are you able to frequently lift 50lbs without assistance and 50+lbs with assistance?
