Warehouse Lead

GPA is currently seeking a Warehouse Lead located in our McCook, IL Headquarters. Hours for this position are from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Benefits: Pay starting at $22.00/hour Full benefits including: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and much more Stable work with a consistent schedule in a spotless warehouse Responsibilities: This person will provide support to the Operations Department through managing the cycle counting process and providing support to the warehouse and production center as requested. Primary responsibilities include: Daily inspection of material on shelves resulting in stock rotation, reorganization, or repacking to obtain maximize efficiency in processing of orders. Maintain an accurate inventory count in warehouse and identify root causes of inventory errors. Communicate issues to management, adjust inventory discrepancies and change processes/procedures as needed. Exhibit positive leadership in a manner consistent with the GPA Mission, Core Values and Annual Corporate Objectives by maintaining an orderly, clean warehouse environment; be an example for safe actions and measures throughout warehouse; and capture daily Safety, Quality, and Productivity metrics. Assist and backup the Shipping and Receiving Leads as needed. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED desired, some college or continuing education strongly preferred. Minimum 2 years warehouse experience Previous forklift (sit-down and stand-up) along with reach experience. Ability to lift and handle cartons weighing in excess of 50 pounds consistently throughout the day. Should possess a strong customer service mentality to internal and external customers with a strong sense of urgency to remedy issues. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
