Job Description: The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, material organization, and team leadership. This position ensures that materials are accurately received, properly stored, safely handled, and readily available to support production schedules. The Warehouse Lead acts as the primary liaison between warehouse staff and management, providing hands-on leadership and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities: Receive all incoming materials, verify against packing lists or purchase orders, and ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and filed. Communicate any discrepancies or damaged goods to Purchasing and Quality as required. Provide daily leadership, guidance, and support to warehouse associates. Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor progress to ensure materials flow efficiently throughout the facility. Fill in as needed for any warehouse role including cycle counter, material handler, or material kitter to maintain continuity of operations. Ensure all materials are clearly labeled and stored in their proper bin locations. Oversee put-away accuracy and maintain warehouse inventory organization. Support the materials team with kitting accuracy and on-time delivery to production lines. Promote and maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment at all times. Verify that material handlers keep forklifts and equipment clean and in good working condition. Conduct regular safety and 5S audits to ensure compliance with company standards. Train new warehouse employees on proper procedures, safety practices, and material flow processes. Foster a positive team culture centered on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred. Minimum 3 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or materials experience; prior leadership or lead experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of inventory systems (Epicor, JobBOSS2, or similar ERP). Valid forklift certification and ability to operate material handling equipment safely. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently. Standing, walking, bending, and operating warehouse equipment for extended periods. Occasional exposure to outdoor or variable temperature environments.
