The Warehouse Lead position is responsible for leading all efforts related to shipping, receiving, and warehousing. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and consistent records management to ensure compliance and documentation requirements are met.
Essential Functions
- Perform all required data entry/documentation management, including, but not limited to truck inspection documents, seal tracking log, COA’s, purchase order and sales order documents, product inspection forms- per BRC and HACCP requirements.
- Record all pallet and material movements in the system to reflect real-time inventory.
- Monitor and use Power BI reports to manage BIUB dates, material needs, and vendor performance.
- Receiving and Quality Control: documenting received purchase orders per BRC requirements, recording item numbers, lot numbers, quantities, expiration dates and location storage accurately and in a timely manner.
- Partner with QA team to assist in evaluating all quarantined materials- assist with data entry, LOD’s, disposal, filing claims, and other duties as assigned.
- Lead and train employees to identify and eliminate waste.
- Ensure accurate and efficient material handling and flow to include lot-control and FEFO rotation.
- Coordinate product issue resolution with QA, material handlers and purchasing.
- Foster a work climate of professional communication and teamwork.
- Ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment and all safety policies are followed.
- Manage all small package shipment processing/pick & pack for OTIF delivery to customers.
- Manage cycle count process accurately and in accordance with documented company procedures.
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
- 3+ years of warehouse lead experience preferred.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodology; including LEAN.
- Productive team leader with great interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Effective problem-solving and strategic planning abilities alongside exceptional time management and organization skills.
- Proficient computer skills to include warehouse specific software and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to receive and maintain licenses for all forklift and all pit equipment.
