Warehouse Lead – PHC (Plastic Film Manufacturing) Summary: The Warehouse Lead supports daily warehouse operations by coordinating material movement, overseeing shipping and receiving activities, and guiding warehouse staff. This role ensures raw materials, finished plastic film rolls, packaging supplies, and inventory are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently to support production and customer shipments. Key Responsibilities Daily Warehouse Operations Lead and support warehouse staff in receiving, staging, storing, picking, and shipping materials. Ensure proper handling of plastic film rolls , pallets, resin, packaging materials, and chemicals. Assist production by delivering raw materials and removing finished goods promptly. Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, labeling, and ERP/WMS updates. Monitor warehouse organization, cleanliness, and 5S standards. Shipping & Receiving Oversee loading and unloading of trucks. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and inspect for damage. Prepare outbound shipments, ensuring rolls are wrapped, labeled, and protected from dents, scratches, or moisture. Complete BOLs, packing lists, and shipping documentation. Safety & Compliance Enforce warehouse safety rules, PPE requirements, and forklift/clamp truck protocols. Ensure proper storage of chemicals and heat‑sensitive materials. Report unsafe conditions, damaged racks, or equipment issues immediately. Support training on safe roll‑handling and equipment operation. Equipment & Systems Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and roll‑handling equipment. Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs. Use ERP/WMS systems for inventory tracking, receiving, and shipping tasks. Leadership & Coordination Assign daily tasks to warehouse associates and monitor completion. Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety, and equipment. Communicate with production, quality, and scheduling teams to ensure smooth material flow. Support Warehouse Manager with reporting, inventory audits, and process improvements. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills 2–4+ years of warehouse or material‑handling experience (manufacturing preferred). Experience handling large rolls, plastics, or flexible packaging materials is highly beneficial. Strong understanding of inventory control, FIFO, and lot tracking. Ability to operate forklifts and clamp trucks safely. Physical & Safety Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work around heavy industrial equipment. Knowledge of OSHA standards and safe handling of chemicals and flammable materials. Comfortable working in environments with heat‑sensitive materials (plastic film can warp). Soft Skills Strong communication and teamwork. Ability to lead by example and support a fast‑paced production environment. High attention to detail and accuracy. Problem‑solving and ability to prioritize tasks. Preferred Qualifications Experience in plastics, converting, printing, or roll‑to‑roll manufacturing. Forklift certification.
