Warehouse Lead

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys staying organized, and likes finding ways to make things run better. Big things are happening at Kelley Supply! With upcoming warehouse renovations, improved inventory organization, and potential new technology, you'll have the opportunity to play an important role in daily warehouse operations while contributing ideas and helping improve how our warehouse runs. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, works independently, and leads by example. While this position does not currently have direct supervisory responsibilities, it offers the opportunity to take on more responsibility, develop new skills, and grow as our business expands. What You'll Do: Handle daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, staging, shipping, and inventory movement. Take responsibility for warehouse organization, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. Receive, pick, pack, load, and unload products for customer orders and deliveries. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, inventory tracking, and resolving discrepancies. Coordinate warehouse tasks with drivers and other employees assisting in daily operations. Assist with warehouse improvement projects, including facility restructuring, warehouse layout, inventory organization, and potential new technology. Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Work closely with the Warehouse/Logistics Manager to communicate priorities, address challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement. What We're Looking For: Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or similar environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Someone who takes initiative, demonstrates accountability, and leads by example. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to jump in wherever needed. A problem-solver who values safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new warehouse systems and technology. Forklift experience preferred. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Hands-on role in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to approx. 75 lbs. as needed. Comfortable working on your feet throughout the day, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
