Warehouse Lead

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy across all distribution activities. As a key leader within our logistics team, you will coordinate material handling, inventory management, and shipping & receiving processes while motivating and guiding your team to achieve operational excellence. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, process improvement, and team leadership will drive continuous improvements and uphold safety standards. Duties Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment to ensure smooth operations. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing work environment. Coordinate the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to facilitate efficient movement of goods. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. Maintain accurate inventory records through inventory management systems and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols by conducting safety audits and promoting a culture of safety awareness. Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline distribution center operations and improve overall supply chain efficiency. Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, and materials handling operations. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and communication. Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams in a warehouse or distribution center setting. Skilled in process improvement methodologies such as lean management to enhance operational efficiency. Ability to operate heavy lifting equipment including forklifts safely; certification preferred. Excellent managerial communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and other departments. Knowledge of OSHA standards related to warehouse safety, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling best practices.
