florida freight and cartagesJob Summary The Warehouse Lead keeps daily warehouse operations moving safely and efficiently. You’ll guide team members across warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving, and materials handling while supporting accurate inventory control and dependable logistics. This hands-on role combines team leadership with warehouse management system (WMS) and inventory management systems use. The position requires warehouse experience and may involve heavy lifting and operating material handling equipment. Duties Coordinate warehouse operations and distribution center activities, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping. Lead and support team members, communicate priorities clearly, and help maintain safe, organized workflows. Use an RF (radio frequency) scanner and inventory systems to track stock, investigate discrepancies, and support inventory management. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as authorized; follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and site procedures. Identify process improvement opportunities and apply lean management practices to strengthen accuracy and workflow. Your impact: Accurate inventory and coordinated shipping help customers and internal teams receive the right materials when they need them. Qualifications Required: Warehouse experience, team leadership or team management capability, and clear managerial communication. Required: Ability to perform materials handling and heavy lifting, and to follow safety procedures. Preferred: Warehouse supervisor experience, warehouse management, or distribution center operations experience. Preferred: Familiarity with warehouse management systems, inventory management systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office. Preferred: Forklift and material handling equipment operation experience, plus knowledge of logistics, inventory control, process improvement, lean management, and shipping and receiving.
