We are searching for a dependable and service-focused Warehouse Labourer to join our team and support safe, accurate, and efficient day-to-day warehouse operations while also providing responsive customer service. 

This dynamic role is primarily focused on warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, picking and packing orders, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting general warehouse activities. When needed, the successful candidate will also assist with customer service duties such as front desk coverage, order processing, responding to customer inquiries, coordinating order pick-ups, and providing timely updates to customers and internal teams.

The day-to-day activities of our Warehouse Labourer will include:

  • Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing products and associated documentation.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using forklifts and appropriate material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks.
  • Pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by confirming quantities, reporting discrepancies, and supporting cycle counts and stock organization.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe, and follow all established safety procedures and operating practices.
  • Coordinate with customer service, sales, and supply chain team members to prioritize orders and resolve product, inventory, or shipment questions.
  • Provide customer service support, including greeting customers, assisting with inquiries, and coordinating order pick-up.
  • Process sales orders, quotes, returns, and related reporting requirements as needed.
  • Provide product information, follow up on order status, and communicate relevant updates to customers and internal teams when required.

The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume and initial phone screen: 

  • Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving, order-picking, or material-handling experience. 
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of warehouse work and use material-handling equipment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when receiving, picking, packing, staging, and documenting orders. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, warehouse organization, and housekeeping. 
  • Effective customer service and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across warehouse and customer service responsibilities. 
  • Comfortable learning and using computer software, including Microsoft Office and internal business systems. 
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment is considered an asset. 
  • Customer service experience in a similar organization is considered an asset.
