Warehouse Laborer

POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title: Warehouse Laborer Locations: Denver, CO Reports to: Operations Manager Company Overview Colorado Barricade is a leading provider of traffic safety services and equipment for the road repair, construction and maintenance industry in the State of Colorado. Colorado Barricade’s core services include traffic control planning and services, pavement marking, permanent sign and related merchandise and equipment rental and sales. Customers include highway construction companies, Departments of Transportation, municipalities and utilities. Position Summary The Warehouse Laborer will assist any or all departments of the Company. The Yard Laborer must help to ensure the timely completion of tasks and projects. This includes loading and unloading trucks for Company employees and customers, organizing and supervising temporary laborers, and performing service work as required. Key Roles and Responsibilities Follow all safety rules and regulations Lift, carry and stack materials and traffic control devices Clean, sweep and organize yard, shops and inventory areas Shipping of materials and goods using the UPS System and scheduling material pick ups with freight companies Receiving all incoming shipments and verifying material quantities, correctness, and overall condition Loading customers with purchased materials, use of forklift may be required Loading and Unloading inbound and outbound shipments of materials, use of forklift may be required Delivery of purchased orders to customers Picking up purchased materials from vendors Ensure a high focus on inventory accuracy Assist the sign shop with painting, trimming blanks, and other duties as needed Assist in other departments, such as traffic control, sign install, and pavement marking as needed Valid Driver’s License and Forklift certification may be required Full compliance with all safety initiatives Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures All other duties as assigned Working Conditions Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop; and kneel, crouch or crawl Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment and machinery parts; moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud Travel N/A Requirements Some High School 3+ months experience as a Laborer Valid Driver’s License Clean MVR Good communication skills and basic math skills (ability to read a tape measurer) Ability to pass internal testing & background check Preferred High School Diploma Construction or Service industry Previous experience as a Laborer Forklift certification Required Values Unyielding integrity/ethics Excellent judgment; strong sense of urgency and bias for action Proven history of honoring commitments Proven ability to deliver results Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities, develop & articulate recommendations, & work with all levels of management Proven ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment; team player We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes competitive salary, health benefits, 401(k), and much more.
