Key Responsibilities:
• The primary responsibilities of this role include receiving incoming shipments of merchandise, conducting thorough checks of the contents against relevant documentation, and assessing the condition of each item to identify any discrepancies or defects.
• Thoroughly examine the received items to ensure they are in line with the required quality standards. If there are any imperfections or breakages, bring it to the attention of the responsible personnel for resolution.
• Allocate storage spaces for inventory according to established procedures. Work closely with team members to ensure that the storage practices are efficient and organized.
• Record all received shipments meticulously with accurate details regarding the amount and condition of goods. Use this information to produce reports that can help you keep track of incoming shipments and stock status.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and inter-departmental teams to promptly address any receiving-related concerns or problems. Facilitate efficient communication amongst team members for streamlined workflow.
Qualifications:
• Applicants must have a high school diploma or a corresponding credential. If they also have supplementary education or certification in the area of logistics or supply chain management, it will be considered beneficial.
• Proficient in the workings of a warehouse, especially in terms of receiving and controlling inventory.
• Mastery in utilizing software that organizes inventory and tools that scan barcodes.
• Astute observation of the smaller components and competence in upholding precision amidst a swift workflow.
• Adroit at managing time and organizing work proficiently.
• The ability to communicate effectively is essential for creating a positive first impression and establishing credibility in professional and personal settings.
• Ability to handle and transfer massive loads, as instructed.
