Pacific Steel GroupJob Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Warehouse Laborer to join our dynamic logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including inventory handling, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and equipment operation. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will ensure smooth workflow and efficient material movement throughout the facility. Duties Safely operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and cranes to load, unload, stock, and move materials efficiently. Assist with inventory control by conducting stock counts, updating inventory management software, and ensuring accurate record-keeping using warehouse management systems like AS400. Support order picking, packing, and order fulfillment processes to ensure timely shipment of products. Handle materials manually with proper manual handling techniques while adhering to OSHA safety regulations and PPE use guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly stocking shelves, managing materials handling equipment, and following safety protocols at all times. Participate in shipping & receiving activities including verifying shipments against documentation and preparing items for dispatch. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory management tasks and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions promptly. Experience Previous warehouse experience or distribution center work preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates. Familiarity with warehouse operations including order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and inventory management software such as AS400 or similar systems. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, or cranes is highly desirable; certification is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use is essential for maintaining a safe working environment. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing. Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability to lift heavy items safely during daily tasks.
