In this vital role, you will oversee inventory control processes, manage warehouse staff, and ensure the efficient handling of materials and shipments. Your leadership will drive process improvements, uphold safety standards, and maintain accurate inventory management systems to support seamless distribution center activities. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, and material handling to ensure smooth operations. Oversee inventory management using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to maintain accurate stock levels. Lead team management efforts by training, coaching, and motivating warehouse staff to achieve operational goals. Implement process improvements aligned with lean management principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Operate and oversee forklift and other material handling equipment safely and effectively. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols across all warehouse functions. Coordinate logistics with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and internal departments for timely distribution. Experience Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management within distribution center operations. Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory management software. Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other heavy lifting equipment safely. Familiarity with logistics processes including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and distribution workflows. Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, communication, and managerial decision-making. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse environments. Experience with process improvement initiatives such as lean management methodologies is highly desirable.
