Role and Responsibilities of Warehouse Inventory Manager:
You will lead inventory control operations by developing strategies, improving processes, managing teams, and supporting customer and business goals. This role focuses on inventory accuracy, reporting, compliance, system optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop inventory control strategies that support customer service agreements and operational objectives.
• Improve inventory processes related to accuracy, reporting, accountability, and asset management.
• Create solutions to identify, prevent, and resolve inventory control risks and operational challenges.
• Introduce improved methods for inventory analysis and planning activities.
• Monitor inventory KPIs and ensure performance meets commercial requirements.
• Track customer inventory accuracy, shrink levels, and service agreements while providing performance updates.
• Optimize inventory systems and processes to improve accuracy, control, and technology utilization.
• Prepare and provide documentation for customer, financial, and regulatory audits.
• Maintain effective relationships with customers and operational partners to support continuous improvement.
• Lead associates through performance management, development planning, succession planning, and engagement activities.
• Maintain compliance with company policies while supporting a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment.
• Support retention strategies and provide leadership for employee performance improvement.
Required Skills and Experience of Warehouse Inventory Manager:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 4 years of inventory control experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics required.
• 3+ years of management experience required, preferably within a large organization or unit pick environment.
• 1+ years of experience managing client relationships, teams, and performance objectives required.
• Experience with staff leadership, performance reporting, and cross-functional collaboration required.
• Experience developing metrics and reporting processes required.
• Knowledge of inventory management platforms including JDA, Manhattan Warehouse Management System, DMPLUS, SAP, or similar systems required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading inventory control operations in a large logistics or distribution environment.
• Experience supporting customer partnerships and operational improvement programs.
Compensation and Benefits of Warehouse Inventory Manager:
• National salary range: $70,000 - $115,000.
