Job Summary
As a Material
...
Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse and yard. This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
• Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and yard
• Read work orders and follow verbal instructions to determine materials to be moved
• Open containers using steel cutters, crowbars, claw hammers, and other hand tools
• Load and unload materials from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
• Transport materials to designated storage or work areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other equipment
• Secure loads using strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage during transport
• Assist with lifting and moving heavy materials manually or with powered equipment
• Operate hand-operated cranes, hoists, or assist hoist operators with load movement
• Assemble crates and packaging materials using hand tools and precut lumber
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by cleaning equipment, workstations, and material storage areas
Qualifications
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift
• Comfortable performing physical, repetitive tasks in a warehouse environment
• Experience with material handling, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or general labor preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to safety and quality standards
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Pay Details: $16.50 to $17.25 per hour
