WAREHOUSE & INVENTORY CONTROL ASSOCIATE 

 

TYPE: Full-time 

Location: in person 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Safely performs receiving, stock keeping, inventory cycle counting, picking and preparing parts and equipment for shipping or for deliveries. The warehouse runs first shift only; some overtime is to be expected for this role.  

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Preparescustomerordersbyprocessingreceipts,picking,packing,andshippingparts.
  • Ensuresallcustomerordersmeetqualitystandards,correctpart,correctquantity,shippedto correct address, on time, every time.
  • Shipspartsthroughparcelcarriers(UPS)aswellasLessthanaTruckLoad(LTL)andDedicatedtrucks.
  • Loadsand safely tiesdown parts and equipment onto trailers or truck beds fordeliveries;alsounloadstrailers,and truck beds.
  • Safelyoperatesmobileequipmentsuch asSitDownForkTruck,StandupReachTruck,Orderpicker.
  • Participatesinsemiannual (twice a year)physicalinventory,performdailycyclecountingactivities.
  • Keepsthe exterior and interior of warehouses and administration buildings clean, free of debris and organized. 
  • Followallsafetyprocedurespercompanypolicy,identifiesandresolvesanyunsafepracticesto ensure all employeesoperatein a safe environment.
  • PerformanyothertasksassignedbyManagerorSupervisor.

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Musthaveahighschooldiplomaorgeneraleducationdegree(GED).
  • Generalknowledgeofwarehouseandinventorycontrolsystems.
  • Experiencewithcyclecountactivities,forkliftoperation,shipping,andreceiving.
  • Punctualwithastrong attendance history.
  • Safe Driving skills
  • Experience driving and reversing a flatbed truck with a trailer attached.
  • Mustbeabletomeetcompany’semploymentrequirements,which includespassingaADOTphysical ®ulateddrug screen,criminal background check, and MVR, 

 

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, write and interpret general business documents in English. 

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or schedule form.
