This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating the receipt and dispatch of goods, and supporting the overall supply chain process to meet company demands. The role requires close collaboration with warehouse staff, procurement teams, and logistics partners to optimize stock levels and minimize discrepancies. By implementing effective inventory control procedures, the assistant helps reduce waste, prevent stockouts, and improve order fulfillment accuracy. Ultimately, this position contributes to the smooth functioning of warehouse activities, supporting business continuity and customer satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic experience with inventory management or warehouse operations. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving inventory items. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Post-secondary education or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or related field. Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for inventory tracking and reporting. Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to warehouse operations. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and external partners. Responsibilities: Monitor and update inventory records using warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and real-time data availability. Assist in receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming shipments to verify quantities and quality against purchase orders. Coordinate the picking, packing, and dispatching of orders to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. Support the implementation of inventory control policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and compliance. Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and manage stock replenishment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Skills: The required skills such as attention to detail and organizational abilities are essential for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that stock levels are properly managed on a daily basis. Familiarity with warehouse management systems enables the assistant to efficiently update and track inventory data, facilitating smooth warehouse operations.
