In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of warehouse functions, including materials handling, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. Duties Assist with loading and unloading shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols. Support inventory control activities by accurately picking, packing, and organizing stock using inventory management software and warehouse management systems like AS400. Operate various material handling equipment safely to transport goods within the warehouse, including cranes and order pickers. Prepare orders for shipment by packaging products securely and verifying order accuracy through manual handling and basic math calculations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by stocking shelves, managing stock levels, and ensuring proper placement of materials for easy access. Follow safety regulations set by OSHA and company policies by using personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently during all tasks. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve warehouse operations, support logistics activities, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related roles with familiarity in warehouse operations and inventory management. Valid certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, cranes, or pallet jacks. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control procedures, and logistics processes. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety protocol adherence. Basic math skills for order picking, packing calculations, and inventory counts. Strong understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use. Prior experience working with inventory management software like AS400 is highly desirable.
