The primary responsibilities of this role include receiving incoming shipments of merchandise, conducting thorough checks of the contents against relevant documentation, and assessing the condition of each item to identify any discrepancies or defects.
• Carry out rigorous inspections of the received goods to ensure they meet the set quality specifications. Notify relevant personnel if there are any instances of damaged or substandard products.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure that inventory is distributed according to established procedures. Work closely with the team members to ensure that the inventory is in the right location at the right time.
• For smooth receiving operations, it's crucial to record all incoming shipments accurately. Note the quantities, quality, and any discrepancies encountered, and generate regular reports to monitor receiving metrics and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to quickly resolve any receiving-related inquiries or issues. Promote effective communication amongst team members to minimize delays in the workflow.
Qualifications:
• Applicants must have a high school diploma or a corresponding credential. If they also have supplementary education or certification in the area of logistics or supply chain management, it will be considered beneficial.
• Experience in the operations of a warehouse, with a focus on receiving goods and inventory management.
• Capability in utilizing software for inventory management and hardware for scanning barcodes.
• Astute observation of the smaller components and competence in upholding precision amidst a swift workflow.
• Remarkable talents in managing time and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills involve the ability to convey messages in a manner that is easy to understand and interpret.
• Adeptness to move and transport weighty articles, as required.
