Position Summary
The Warehouse Generalist / Delivery Driver is a key member of CLUXE’s logistics team, responsible for preparing, transporting, and executing event rentals with precision and professionalism. This role supports both warehouse operations and on-site execution, ensuring every delivery aligns with CLUXE’s luxury standards.
This position combines warehouse operations, truck driving, on-site setup, and client-facing professionalism to uphold CLUXE’s brand promise of Luxury. Precision. Presentation.
The role operates in full compliance with North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) standards, DOT safety protocols, and CLUXE company policies regarding vehicle operation, equipment handling, and workplace safety.

Core Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Preparation
- Pull, stage, and pack all rental items (furniture, chairs, linens, tabletop, and décor) based on event orders
- Verify order accuracy using Point of Rental (POR) before loading
- Coordinate with Linen, Tabletop, Floral, and Design teams to confirm assigned items are prepared and ready for delivery
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance at all times
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and restocking inventory after events
Loading, Transportation & Delivery
- Safely load and secure all products in company vehicles, following proper weight distribution and load safety standards
- Drive company vehicles (non-CDL box trucks or vans) in compliance with NC DMV and DOT regulations
- Maintain vehicle condition and report any maintenance needs, accidents, or safety hazards promptly
- Ensure all products arrive in proper condition and meet CLUXE presentation standards
- Communicate professionally with venue staff, planners, and vendors while representing CLUXE on-site
Event Setup & On-Site Execution
- Deliver, unload, and set up rental products according to event plans and design specifications
- Assist with furniture placement, drapery installation, décor staging, and light event support as directed
- Perform drop-off deliveries when setup is not required
- Confirm all items are presented to CLUXE standards before leaving the site
- Provide on-site support to Floral, Design, or Rentals teams as needed
- Always maintain professional conduct and appearance
Pickup, Quality Check & Return Processing
- Complete post-event pickups and ensure all inventory is returned and accounted for
- Perform on-site and warehouse quality checks for damage, cleanliness, or missing items
- Document and report any product loss, damage, or safety concerns
- Unload and reshelve inventory in designated warehouse areas
- Work with team members to ensure returned items are processed and ready for future events
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols including proper lifting techniques, PPE use, and hazard communication (HazCom)
- Participate in company-provided safety training programs
- Comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company driving policies
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and report any citations, accidents, or suspensions immediately
- Follow established safe driving practices, warehouse procedures, and proper equipment use
- Report all incidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions promptly
Technology & Documentation
- Use Point of Rental (POR) for order tracking, delivery manifests, and inventory verification
- Capture proof of delivery, photos, and signatures via mobile or tablet devices
- Maintain delivery logs, mileage records, and trip documentation per company policy
- Follow company recordkeeping standards
Cross-Division Collaboration
- Work closely with Linen, Tabletop, Floral, and Design teams to support execution of client orders
- Assist with warehouse functions as operational needs shift
- Maintain communication with the Director of Operations regarding scheduling and logistics
Licensing & Operational Readiness
- Must hold a valid North Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be approved and authorized to operate CLUXE company vehicles
- Must successfully complete CLUXE’s Driver & Warehouse Safety Certification Program prior to independent operation
- DOT medical card preferred (not required for non-CDL vehicles)
- Forklift or equipment certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or delivery driving
- Ability to lift to 75 lbs. and perform physical work throughout shifts
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Professional communication and client-facing demeanor
- Reliable transportation to and from warehouse
- Availability for early mornings, late nights, and weekends
Preferred
- Event rental, hospitality, or production experience
- Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles
- Familiarity with inventory or rental systems (POR or similar)
- Forklift or equipment operation experience
Work Environment
- Full-time, on-site at CLUXE Headquarters (Charlotte, NC), with frequent off-site deliveries across North and South Carolina
- Physically active role including standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement
- Work includes indoor warehouse environments and outdoor event settings
- Flexible schedule required during peak event seasons (early mornings, late nights, weekends)
